The Toon Sludge Show
I was one of the background artists for this short film by Nominous Animation and directed by Anthony Gardea. My background contributions and process can be seen below, or on my instagram at @safiya_illustration.
PROCESS: Sketch / Line / Refinement
The opening shot went through A LOT of changes. At first it was a simple impressionist feel, then the colors were changed, then the look altogether. I was given a base animatic sketch to build off of by the director, and worked with the lead artist to adjust the look. It was a very fun and exploratory process!
